Joseph Tiernan is a London based, award winning Set Decorator for feature films, streaming series and commercials. With credits from Netflix, Apple TV+, Warner Brothers, and Nickelodeon among others. 

Since graduating film school I have been working within British and Aussie set dec departments for several years in various roles. In that time I have gained 30+ film and television credits to my name, including films such as Greta Gerwig’s Narnia, Luca Guadagnino’s After The Hunt, Craig Gillespie’s Supergirl, Ron Howard’s Thirteen Lives, Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis, Aquaman, True History of the Kelly Gang, Swinging Safari, Mortal Kombat and many more.

I have decorated 9 features and tv shows as well as several commercials, music videos and shorts. I’ve worked on both large-scale studio builds and intimate character-led location sets. I’m always keen to collaborate with talented production designers on future projects. 

Whether it is a futuristic hotel, a hundred year old ship wreck, or a dystopian hovel, I am always keen for a new design, set decoration or props challenge. I believe very much that the devil is in the detail and I have a strong passion for discovering new ways to create unique images.​​​​​​​
